Starting a baseless rumor

Before Brion Vibber left the Wikimedia Foundation he hid an Easter egg in the code: the first person who earns 500 featured credits receives a fireworks show and a "you won." And then gets a special user block that can only be undone by another developer.

Who writes history?

Regarding Joe Wilson's "You lie!" statement during President Obama's speech, and the New York Times musings on the Wikipedia debate that followed.
"If journalism is the first draft of history, what is a Wikipedia entry when
it is updated within minutes of an event to reflect changes in a person’s

Time to revise the old saying.
History is written by the victors.
History is written by the experts.
History is written by the teenagers and unemployed.
At least the second draft of history gets written that way--the one that sits on top of the Google search returns.
